The T2LTD seems to be the deepest machine I've used. It is by far my go to machine when it comes to coins or jewelry hunting. I don't go anywhere without the LTD. It can also dig out those relics with the best of them. In the beginning it took me a little while to learn the sounds and the capabilities of the machine (only because its capable of so much) but once I honed in on what it can do, I really started seeing some good finds. Dig Every Beep!!

The T2 DST is a really stable beast, great depth, sensitive and has the ability to winkle out the good stuff that other machines miss! The detectorists choice for the UK , the guys that make finds regulary usually use the T2! Its as simple as that! First time I used mine I hit silver, not long after I hit Gold, that says it all.

The Teknetics T2 is one of the best relic machines that I have ever used. It consistently produces results that other machines just can’t seem to match. Being a long-time relic hunter and detectorist with 25 years of experience I was skeptical of the target ID numbers at first, while just a general guide as to what you may be digging, I have been surprised that this machine is one of the most accurate on the market. What was even more shocking was its ability to provide accurate numbers on the deeper targets. I have dug many great items with this machine from silver coins all the way to Civil War relics, several of which have been published in American Digger Magazine. My digging partner often borrows my T2 LTD and dug a very rare dropped Whitworth sharpshooters bullet from the Civil War on his first time using the detector in a yard that had detected by many other machine’s including those 2-3 times the price. If you want the best “bang for the buck” in on the market this is the machine without question, and coming from a guy that has used almost every machine on the market at the time of this review.

This person has bought this item.

Upon returning to the hobby after a long break I looked around and compared several machines and one that kept coming up time and time again was the T2. One thing I noticed was the complete lack of second-hand T2's on the UK market and I realised that this was telling me something! I have since owned my T2ltd for 5 years and would never be apart from it. Simple to use, very deep seeking, very fast recovery speed, well balanced and easy 'on the arm', amazing battery life and finally a darn good looking machine! If it's at a detectable depth the T2 will find it!

The T2 is a magnificent machine, so easy to use and finds the smallest artifacts and some depth. Logically and cleverly thought out, this is an engineered machine, the quality is superb.

My review of the Teknetics T2 SE. Very long and in depth but I feel the more information the better. I made a review right after I got the machine that I posted elsewhere: I have read where this machine is complicated but I didn't find it that way. In fact it's pretty simple if you know what you want to accomplish and watch videos on the subject. My main quest in a machine is to have a scout and hunter all in one bundle that is durable enough to handle what me and my terrain can throw at it. Here is how this machine stacks up: My first impressions on opening the box is that it is pretty well built for a new age machine. The one thing that I really don't care for is the face of the machine. To me it's not rigid enough. It's like a weak touch screen without being a touch screen. I think they would have been better off making it thicker. I am almost afraid of damaging it. Other than that I think it's pretty great in design. This is coming from a person that hates s shaped shafts. Very lightweight and very balanced! Very impressed with this aspect of it. Operating and settings.... I found the operation pretty easy. One button and one knob. The button operates the menu and the knob operates the settings. I pretty much had my settings figured out before I got the machine just by watching videos. I did not read the manual. In fact it's still in it's original sealed packet. Aquachigger's video on running in all metal is the one I watched over and over because he explains scout settings and hunter settings which is what I wanted. I tested it in the crappy ground which is dry now but still drives machines crazy. I ran mine in as high as sensitivity I could get without it falling too much, 0 discrimination, BP tones and slightly positive ground balance for scouting. For hunting I ran all metal and ran it all the way out.... BP tones, 99 sensitivity, 0 discriminaton and slightly positive ground balance. The crappy ground test..... The ground here is dry. In most places it has gotten to where it's concrete in nature. When I do these I don't just test the target it's self. To me that doesn't show me what the ground around the target sounds like. I look for the target just like I would as if I was actually searching. Otherwise it does no good to me. The targets.... A 10 inch penny buried back in December right in the middle of stubble. A .54 caliber Minnie buried in freshly plowed ground at 12 inches. A .54 caliber Minnie lodge under a 10 inch dirt clod. A silver dime buried at 8 inches in freshly plowed ground. The results...... In scout mode moderate sweep and movement speed. In hunting mode a slow rolled through the targets. This worked really well in the ground and punched pretty deep. I had absolutely no problem hitting each and every target and I never touched the coil to the ground. Over the buried penny I can raise the coil up a few inches before I loose it. It goes that deep! And all of this in dry ground some of it freshly plowed! Another thing that I love is that it really doesn't sound off on dropoffs which is a problem on most machines. What I am talking about is the depressions in the ground and how they often will give a high tone. The dirt clod test was impressive. Nothing really connected to the target but still a piece of the crappy ground over the target. Nailed it time after time in both scout and hunt modes. Really impressed on how hot this machine is on silver too. I ran it over the yard and just listened to the sounds. I picked out many individual repeatable signals so I know it would be killer in the yards. I honestly can say anything negative about the test results. This is pretty much everything I want in a deep vlf. It has many features of my old Fisher 1266 and I think is par on depth and sensitivity. The recovery speed is in line with the Tejon. The iron discriminaton really reminds me of the AT Pro. The weight is on par with the Xterra. My main negative thing is the screen. I can foresee punching it with the shovel handle but maybe I am just paranoid. Other than it coming from the dealer with a couple of issues I really like this machine. Since I made that review I have used the machine in many other hunts and here are my results. I decided to keep the machine despite it coming from the dealer with a couple of issues. One that I worked out in my own and the other still remains but I can live with it. I went over a site where we have pounded to death with many machines many times. I was only able to hunt a small section of the site but I am finding deep trash and a few deep pistol balls. Now this might not exite most folks but this is a site where we dig everything so there shouldn't be much left here but there is. Very impressed with the depth in small targets. I found pistol balls and shotgun primers pushing 8 inches. I run it in all metal mode, 99 sens, bp and anything that breaks or keys up the hum I dig. If you don't mind the hypnotic sound it is a really good setting for cleaning up a site. My first real yard hunt with the small coil yielded some really nice finds. This yard has been hunted many times with many different machines at different directions. The yard is trashy and EMI is heavy here due to an electrical junction box here. My settings were 50 sens, disc on foil, 2 tones. The machine was very bad noisy with no way to get it to settle down. I dealt with the chatter and was rewarded for doing so. I can't remember the exact count of pennies I found but it was close to seven with two being wheat pennies. I found two silver dimes with one being a Mercury dime. One of the wheat pennies was pushing eight inches. Pretty impressive for a small coil abd half sensitivity. The only trash I dug was a brass she'll casing. All was within a 20 x 20 foot area and all less than an hour. Even though the chatter was bad you could tell when you passed over a target. The small coil is perfect and really works well in trash. What I like about the small coil is you can tell the size of the target better so that helps greatly. I have hunted this yard a couple of more times and have found many more coins. I took the machine to one of my really old sites. It's fairly trashy but other than that it's good ground. My settings were the same as the yard hunt but I used the stock coil. I found many bullets, a few flat buttons and a small gold pendent. I was impressed with the way the stock coil operates in trash. This is great for hunting open fields and coming up on an old house place with no real need to change coils. I would still like to go back with the small coil but for scouting trash the stock coil does what I want. In the end and after spending more time with the machine since my first review: Really diverse machine! It does everything the I wanted in a land vlf. I was worried about the weak screen but so far it hasn't been an issue but it still concerns me. I hate the arm cup. The funnel shaped design allows for the machine to sway way too much especially when I yard hunt. I like machines to be act like an extension of my arm and this one doesn't do it. The "stand" isn't much of a stand. You may as well just lay the thing on it's side and be done with it. I'm not too thrilled with most stands on the market but this one is by far the worst I have used. Personally most stands aren't made right. I have a design in mind that would be better than most but it may not fit everyone's needs. All in all I love the machine. It has replaced my other machines unless it's wet out. Glad I bought one! It's on the way for paying for it's self and not even a month old.

I can honestly say that the Teknetics T2 is the best detector on the market. I have used several brands of metal detectors, and none of the other machines perform as well as this one. Digging Civil War relics is what I love to hunt for the most and for relic hunting this is my go to machine. It not only finds small targets that are missed by other machines, but it gets great depth on any relic you can think of! I have dug Civil War bullets with this machine at 14 inches with absolutely no problems. The controls on this machine are even more impressive than detectors that are more expensive on the market. Overall it is a great machine and I would recommend it to anyone getting into detecting or who is a serious hunter.

The t2 ltd proved to me that no site is hunted out . One of the first few times out I went to a site that other have pulled hundreds coins out of and the site really gave up any more coins over the last few years but the t2 ltd managed to sniff out three barb dimes two indain head penny and a flowing hair large cent all During a few hour hunt. I give the the t2 5 stars and would recommend to anyone great detector for beginner to pro

Love the machine got my first half dime with it. At 7 inches rang up nice and clear. The fast processor is super nice.

The T2 LTD and T2 classic are my go-to machines when it comes to relic hunting in heavy iron. The target separation and super fast recovery speed sets the machine apart, in my opinion, from any other machine on the market. With the boost mode on the LTD, you reach deeper and find more than ever before! I normally run my LTD with the 5" coil in heavy iron which allows me to punch deep with a small coil while still being able to pinpoint the smallest targets from amongst the trash.

Had a T2 for 6 years now. My pride & joy! It has found me so much - never had a detector before as good as this. Easy to use, no complicated programs. Works at its optimum all the time. I now have finds on display in my local museum. Thank you Teknetics.

The Teknetics T2 Ltd is by far the best detector I have used. It has reached depths that no other detector has gotten too that I have used. When I use it in Florida to find Seminole War relics, it does incredible. I used it in an area that I pounded with a different machine previously, and found more than 20 buttons! Whether your a coin shooter, relics hunter, or even gold nugget hunter, this is the detector for you.
