The Omega has a unique control interface that incorporates both analog and touchpad controls; adjustments are easy to make with one hand. The Omega has three graphics that display information about soil conditions: Fe3O4 bar graph, Ground Phase number and Ground Error indicator. These indicators keep you aware of the ever-changing soil conditions, allowing you to keep your detector perfectly balanced to achieve the greatest possible target depth. Omega 8500 one sweet machine. Found a lot of relics, bells, silver plated dinner ware, silver coins, and necklaces.

This machine is a silver Beast! I'm not really sure how they do it but somehow the guys at FTP have really tweaked this machine so that no silver goes unheard. I took it to a park that I've covered, many, many, MANY times simply because it is so close to my house. It's kind of my go to spot when I don't have long to dig. Well, with this 8500, up popped 3 mercs and a silver Georgie within my first 30 minutes. Again, I know sometimes its luck, but there is absolutely no way this was luck. I've totally covered this area time and time again. If you are a serious coin hunter and you are dedicated to learning your machine, this machine is the way to go.

You can run over a section of dirt or grass with some pretty high priced detectors, yet somehow this Omega can still find a coin or two (or 10) that was left behind. It's like it knows that silver is there and refuses to let you pass it up. Perhaps one of the greatest coin shooters ever produced the way it responds to brass, copper, and silver. Options galore on this bad boy. Notch - notch volume - VCO pitch change - modulated audio - 60 and 50hz filters - 4 "deep" modes. It's bonkers how much is in the menu setup, and how easy they made it to navigate and use. Wonderful detector.
