The new refurbed Delta works a treat,on land or top of the beach,i own a G2 and still use the delta as backup or for a friend to use,the new control box is great for switching coils now the sockets been moved, with just 1/4inch phones socket, just like my G2 .The separate sensitivity control for the 3modes is a big plus, which is on the omega platform.Do not under estimate this detector.

Having a fisher F2 and really liking it, I decided to switch to the Teknetics Delta 4000. I have used Teknetics detectors since they were first introduced and had the pleasure of meeting George Payne back in the '80's. I still have and often use my original Teknetics 9000B and it still finds coins. I had George take it back to the factory and convert it to a hip-mount. Even though it was one of the first to use a plastic body, 14 AA batteries were kind of heavy. I currently have five Teknetics detectors ranging from my old 9000B to a Teknetics G2. Of all of these I use my Delta the most. Sometimes I use it with the 5"x10' DD Teknetics coil that I bought to use with my G2. I have found a number of silver coins with it. i am 72 years old and after about forty years of detecting, the light weight of the Delta means a lot. I have found five silver coins with it in a hunted out park that I have been hunting for over thirty years. There's not much left. I know that it is one detector that I can depend on.
