This is my primary coil that I use with my T2 Classic. Has same separation as the 5"DD without losing ground coverage. I wouldn't leave home without it! Oldest coin with this coil is 1851 Seated Liberty Half Dime found at 7 inches. I also have a George Washington Inaugural Button found with coil.

I have had the 10" elliptical coil for my T2 for several months now. I have to say it does work well, especially in trashy areas. It has the separation of the 5" round coil. The longer length helps you cover much more ground than possible with the 5" coil. Mine seems to be a little lighter than the stock 8.5x11 coil, which helps. I think the depth is pretty close to the stock coil. All in all I like this coil, it hasn't left my T2 since I put it on.
